Navy Blue Beret

Have you seen my newest listing? This is my first Beret. I LOVE it. It's totally different than anything I've ever made. The yarn used is 97% wool and 7% polyamide. Check out this hat and many others in my store here.

Introducing...

As many of you know I am a big sucker for animals. We have 2 dogs and a cat inside the house. Then we have 2 other dogs outside. All these precious creatures are rescues. The cat was a Christmas gift to my son. Well, my husband and son are a bigger sucker than I am. They were at a job and found this poor starving cat on the brink of death. They came home telling me about the cat and they wanted to bring him home to be an outside cat. So I went for it. The next day they brought the poor soul home. We bathed him and fed him. Since then he has yet to set foot, rather, a paw outside. 0_0 He has taken rule and reign over the house. We took him to vet for a check up and he is fine. We named him Kenny. And he is now our newest addition to the family. What do you think?

Gently down the stream...

You know what my FAVORITE thing to do is? Sit on a rock, take my shoes off, hike up my pants, and stick my feet in a creek. Hubby recently took me there for our 29th wedding anniversary for a couple of days and I got to do that. Everytime we drove around and saw a creek or river, he would stop and let me sit and enjoy myself a bit. He was so sweet!

Coffee Goodness

I LOVE COFFEE. It is something we have to have in our house at all times. Hubby even bought me one of those coffee makers with a timer so I can get it all set up the night before and have it ready when I wake up.

Well, being that we are on a budget, hubby bought the cheap coffee that was on sale at the grocery store. It's drinkable, but NOTHING like my Starbucks coffee. :/ Last saturday morning I went to my daughter's house and she made me a cup of Starbucks coffee and a belgium waffle for breakfast. It is a HUGE difference drinking Starbucks coffee compared to the cheap stuff. :/ I may have to re-do our budget so I can buy my Starbucks coffee. lol

Happy Birthday Hun!

Today is my husband's birthday! Time sure does go by fast. I am so thankful that I get to be his wife and mother of his children. He is my best friend and I love him! We have been through a lot together. We have fulfilled many dreams and goals together - from getting married, having children, making a big move, going through school, changing careers, marrying off our daughters, having grandchildren and so much more! Hunny, Happy Birthday. Thank you for being such a great husband, father, and grandfather! I love you!

Heaven on Earth

Isn't this breathtaking? I LOVE the smokies. I absolutely love going to North Carolina and one dream of retiring there - me, hubby, and the furry babies. That's all I need. I can't wait til that day. In the mean time, I will sit, plan, dream and look at pictures of this amazing place!
